For its first group show Octagone will bring together established and emerging artists around the theme of paper. PAPIER I VOLUME (December 2014) will focus on three-dimensional works, while PAPIER II SURFACE (March 2015) will present two-dimensional ones.

PAPIER I VOLUME will explore various processes of shaping paper – folding, layering, collaging, moulding… - and how these techniques turn a soft material into durable form.

Among the artists selected will be internationally acclaimed paper masters RUTH GURVICH and NEL LINSSEN. Ruth Gurvich will unveil new pieces, in coloured porcelain, specially produced for the show in collaboration with Nymphenburg. The event will coincide with a retrospective of NEL LINSSEN’s work at Museum Het Valkhof (Netherlands).

Other artists in the PAPIER I show include ZOE ARNOLD, STEVENS DOSSOU-YOVO, SACHIKO MORITA and SIBA SAHABI. (Press Release)
